AI Chat

AI Chat is the heart of MixerLead — a marketing‑grounded chat that knows your brand, can read your knowledge base, browse the live web, work with images and documents, and save useful output as artifacts.

Open it from the sidebar (AI Chat), or jump straight into a saved thread from your conversation list.

Choosing a model

Use the model picker above the composer.

Auto (recommended) — MixerLead automatically selects a strong model for your task. Great default for everyday work.
Specific models — pick a named model when you want consistent behavior. Each model shows its capability (for example, text or image generation).

Some advanced models are available only on paid plans. If a model is outside your plan, the picker indicates it and you’ll be prompted to upgrade.

Attachments

Click the attachment button in the composer to add context to your message:

Images — screenshots, ads, designs, or photos. Pair them with a vision‑capable model to analyze or critique them.
Documents — bring a file into the conversation for summarizing or Q&A.
Cloud Library — import a file you’ve already uploaded to Workspace Files instead of re‑uploading.

Grounding answers

Two optional toggles make answers more accurate and trustworthy:

Use Knowledge Base

Retrieves relevant passages from your indexed sources and cites them. A Sources used card appears below the reply with links. Only sources you’ve left enabled are used.

Use Web

Grounds the answer on live web pages you reference, so the model works from current, real content instead of memory.

Both are opt‑in per message — turn them on only when you need them, so fast text‑only chats stay fast.

Generating images

Pick an image‑generation model, then describe what you want:

Create a clean, minimalist banner for a B2B SaaS launch — calm tones,
plenty of negative space, no text.

The generated image appears in the reply and is saved as an Artifact so you can reuse it.

Voice input

Use the microphone to dictate a message instead of typing. MixerLead transcribes your speech, then responds normally.

Saving and reusing output

When a reply is worth keeping, use the message actions to save it as an Artifact.
Find it later under Artifacts, where you can refine, copy, or build on it.

Conversations & history

Conversations are saved automatically and listed in the sidebar.
Branch a conversation to explore an alternative direction without losing the original thread.
Return to any conversation to continue where you left off.

Tips for better results

Set up your Brand profile first — it’s injected into every chat.
Be explicit about audience, format, and tone.
Turn on Use Knowledge Base for questions about your own product, policies, or past work.
Start with Auto; switch to a specific model only when you need consistency.
