Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Base is how you move from generic AI to answers grounded in your material. Add your documents, pages, and sites; MixerLead indexes them and retrieves the most relevant passages — with citations — when you ask related questions.

Open Knowledge Base from the sidebar and add a source:

Upload a file

Add a document from your computer. It’s stored in your workspace and indexed for retrieval.

Add a URL

Point MixerLead at a single page. It fetches the page and indexes its content.

Crawl a site

Index multiple pages from a site in one go, up to a page limit you set.

After you add a source, MixerLead processes it in the background:

  • Status moves from Indexing to Indexed.
  • Once indexed, the source shows its chunk count and when it was last indexed.
  • If something goes wrong, the source shows the last error so you can retry.

In AI Chat, turn on Use Knowledge Base. When your question relates to indexed content, MixerLead:

  1. Retrieves the most relevant passages.
  2. Grounds the answer on them.
  3. Shows a Sources used card beneath the reply, with links to each source.

Enable / disable

Toggle a source on or off. Only enabled, indexed sources are used for grounding — disable a source to instantly remove it from answers without deleting it.

Re‑index

Re‑run indexing for a source to pick up changes or recover from an error.

Delete

Remove a source and its indexed content from your workspace.

Uploaded files count toward your workspace’s storage quota. See Files & storage for quotas and add‑ons.

  • Admins / Members can add, re‑index, enable/disable, and delete sources.
  • Viewers can see sources and cited answers but can’t modify the knowledge base.
